Gone
Like a bomb exploding, red-
steel turned white with heat,
my word drops down on the heads of the unexpecting
shattering realities, routines, and reasonable sense of security
as well as all trust in their local censors
Who now will decry me?
Surely not my friends, they've grown wings
and the calls "Give us Barabas" will go unanswered from so far away
as far as the pigeon can fly, the eagle can see,
I watched those friends leave, and one flew over the cuckoo's nest
Once upon a time, there was a
MAN
who had courage
intelligence
daring
wit
and who challenged my renowned skill.
Where is he?
Where are the conspirators against me?
Where are my critics?
Where are my foes?
Where has everyone gone?
Passing By
Black earth groaning under beasts of steel
Watching the world pass by I wonder,
Do birds see this way when they fly?
Do fish gaze as such when they swim?
Do the deer envision so as they run?
A blur, a dream, like a passing mist
Over time, the mountain is the sea
The sea is the desert and the desert, a meadow
But no matter the changes,
The world will keep passing by.
