Ghost Ranger

In R. Steven Reynolds' Ghost Ranger, we follow a series of firsthand accounts surrounding a mysterious, undercover cop known as the "Ghost Ranger."  You never know when he might appear, but you can guarantee that if he does you're in a sticky situation.  All who have seen him tell different stories about who he is, what he looks like, where he came from, but regardless of the mystery of his identity, he's touched the lives of all he's come in contact with.

In the beginning, the chapters in Ghost Ranger are individual short stories, eyewitness accounts, that could easily stand on their own.  One of the most fascinating things about this book is that these are the types of stories you'd hear around a campfire.  Reynolds presents a group of fascinating characters, all from unique backgrounds and situations, all the while revealing the intricacies of the most intriguing character of them all: Tex, the Ghost Ranger.

There is something raw and gritty about this book and its undercover hero, who brings hope and justice to a world in desperate need of it.  Reynolds integrates the landscape and people of Texas into this fast-paced adventure about a man whose choices in life both compel him forward and compromise everything he holds dear.
