Deanna Oscar is a likable heroine that you want to root for. And the cast of extras,
just like the first time, are wonderfully drawn and intriguing. Dragon has some surprises
in store for readers related to the people in De’s life including the drag queen
Ivy, her cousin Greg the ex-
Readers definitely want to start with the first book in the series that introduces all the players. This second book might be a bit confusing if you’re just trying to sort everyone out for the first time. Dragon keeps a complex group of extras in her stories and that might be a challenge for a new reader. But it is one of the things that makes Dragon’s stories so worth the read.
